But Eli, how does it work?
I shoot or draw it, you buy it. Simple as that, right? Well…yes and no. See, my guarantee to you (partly due to a couple fun little legal factors) means your product is one-of-a-kind, absolutely unique, no other thing quite like it — as long as it’s not copyrighted, let’s make it happen.
Here’s where it gets tricky.
Sketching a family photo is one thing; sketching Chris Evans in a tight tee and a charming smile is totally different. (Yeah, it’s in the gallery.) I can’t draw you a sketch of a copyrighted image — it’s a weird legal area. For now, let’s stick to your cool photoshoots or cute pets.
The Commission Process
You send me a picture (and some other info), I put charcoal on a piece of paper, move it around a few times, and boom - a sketch! After the piece is done to your satisfaction, I spray it with a harmless protective agent to prevent smudging, and carefully mail it to you. If you’d like any modifications — a frame for shipping is never a bad idea — be sure to mention that, and let’s work it out. (And that goes for prints, too - you place an order, I print and send it.)
The Printing Process
This goes for both art and photographs - you place an order, I have it printed, and it ships within 7 business days. There are options for different sizes and customizations - black and white, cardstock or canvas, you name it. (And if you have any other requests, feel free to add them in the comment box with your order.)
And that’s it - simple as that. You don’t even have to tell ten people about it afterward. Although I wouldn’t mind.
